Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training: 5-day Intensive (1440 in Santa Cruz) – Level 1

Becoming a mother is a precious time, filled with many questions and expectations. Expand your skills to be able to offer the gift of expert support to mothers-to-be. This 45-hour comprehensive Level 1 training will include how to teach yoga to women in all stages of pregnancy. The training will explore yoga as a tool in preparation for not only childbirth, but for motherhood!

Whether or not you have the goal to teach this training is also a fit for you if you work with women in any capacity (doula, midwife, obstetrician + gynecologists, massage therapists, etc.). Also, mamas looking for ways to deepen their own practice will find a lot of benefit in this immersion as will yoga teachers from every discipline.

This Training will include:
• The effects of pregnancy on the body
• The benefits of yoga in pregnancy and beyond
• Postures to aid common discomforts
• What poses are contraindicated (what to avoid)
• Appropriate pranayama practices
• Prenatal bonding
• Physiology of childbirth
• Yoga for labor
• Observation of classes

Qualifies for Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credit OR can be applied toward the 90-Hr. Yoga Alliance Prenatal Certification, but not both.

+++ BONUS Material: Yoga for the early stages of postpartum, postpartum issues, mom and baby yoga, the 4th trimester and infant development.

NEW LOCATION: 1440 Multiversity
I’m thrilled to announce I’ll be teaching my signature Mama Tree 5 Day Prenatal Immersion at 1440 Multiversity, an incredible new learning destination in the Santa Cruz mountains of California.

In addition to the times we will be meeting for the immersion you will also have time for additional activities such as hiking among the ancient Redwoods, or enjoy a rejuvenating massage. This learning facility and retreat center is brand new and just opened it’s doors this year and I am very excited to be among the first group of teachers to offer a program.

I hope to see you there!

For two decades Jane Austin has worked with mamas, not only as a yoga teacher but also as a midwife, doula (labor assistant) and childbirth educator. She weaves her experience as a midwife, doula, childbirth educator, and mother into her work.

Jane is the founder and director of Mama Tree, a Yoga Alliance registered school dedicated to training yoga teachers, birth professionals and other health professionals interested in teaching prenatal and postnatal yoga. Jane’s teacher training program attracts students from all over the world interested in learning how to utilize the practice of yoga to support pre- and postnatal women physically, mentally and emotionally.

It is Jane’s mission to offer women a mindful, supportive and nourishing yoga practice that empowers them not only in pregnancy and childbirth but for all the years of motherhood that follow. It is her vision to bring yoga to all pregnant women.

Although her teaching is influenced by many teachers and traditions (including Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Anusara), Jane’s most inspirational teachers remain her own children and the many mamas and couples she has worked with over the years.

With online registration you are reserving one spot in the training. To reserve for additional students, please contact the studio where the training will be held.
